In plain words

"Be kind to me and keep me safe,"

the way a wronged person was protected and shielded from shame.

The good protects those who are treated unfairly, shielding them from harm.
The deeper layer

The rahao asks for protection, recalling Draupadi — who, in the old story, was seized and dragged before a court by cruel men, and was protected from shame. The point: the good protects the wronged — those treated unfairly are shielded. The qMonk voice renders this gently as a wronged person protected. For a child: the good protects those who are treated unfairly, shielding them from harm.

A Question to Sit With

How does it feel to know the good stands up for those treated unfairly?
