Meeting the Saint of Saints, the mind blossoms forth, like the lotus, exalted by obtaining the water. ||6||

In plain words

Stay close to the truly good person, who shares kindness for everyone's sake.

Near them, your heart opens and blossoms, like a lotus reaching water.

Stay close to truly good people, and your heart opens and blossoms, like a lotus given water.
The deeper layer

This one says: stay close to truly good people, and your heart opens like a flower.

Santan sant saadh mil rahee-ai — "stay with the saint of saints." A saint is a truly good person. This one "sings the good for the benefit of all," sharing kindness for everyone's sake.

"Meeting them, the mind blossoms, like the lotus given water." Think of a plant on a windowsill that has gone a bit droopy. You water it, and by evening its leaves lift up again. Near a good, generous person, your heart does the same. This joy runs all through the raag.

A Question to Sit With

Who helps your heart open up and blossom when you're near them?
