su-aamee paarbarahm parmaysar tum khojahu jug jugnay.
O my Lord and Master, Supreme Lord God, Transcendent Lord, throughout the ages, mortals search for You.
tumree thaah paa-ee nahee paavai jan naanak kay parabh vadnay. ||4||5||
Your extent cannot be estimated or known, O Great God of servant Nanak. ||4||5||

Through every age, people have searched and searched for the One.
It's bigger and deeper than anyone can measure — wonderfully beyond us.
The One is wonderfully beyond measuring — bigger and deeper than anyone can hold.
The shabad closes in wonder at the One's immeasurability: "throughout the ages, mortals search for You... Your extent cannot be estimated or known." People have looked for the One in every age; it's beyond all measuring — and that vastness is itself part of its wonder. The colophon (||4||5||) closes. For a child: the One is wonderfully beyond measuring — people have searched for it in every age, and it's bigger than anyone can hold.
A Question to Sit With
How does it feel to know some wonderful things are far bigger than we can measure?
