Drinking Something That Fills You

naam rasaa-in ih man raataa amrit pee tariptaa-ee. ||8||
This mind is imbued with the sublime elixir of the Naam; drinking in the Ambrosial Nectar, it is satisfied. ||8||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My mind is soaked in the sweet taste of the Naam, the way cloth takes on a color and becomes it.

I drink the sweet nectar, and I am satisfied.

A mind soaked in the Naam drinks the nectar and is satisfied.
The deeper layer

Naam rasaa-in — the Name as rasaa-in, the elixir. Raataa is dyed-through, the cloth-and-color image Gurbani loves for a mind saturated by the divine. Amrit is the sweet nectar of the One; drinking it brings triptaa-ee, the deep satisfaction that ordinary cravings never reach.

A Question to Sit With

What is something that satisfies you deeply, not just for a moment?
