In plain words

The fort of the body has nine gates; the tenth gate is kept hidden.

That heavy door does not open; only the Guru's Word can open it.

There, music with no player, the unstruck melody, rings and sounds, and the Guru's Word is heard.

Deep inside that heart a light shines, and through loving devotion you meet the One.

The One fills everyone, and made all of creation.

There is a hidden door inside you that force cannot open, only the Word can.
The deeper layer

The body-fort has nine known gates, eyes, ears, nostrils, mouth and the rest, and a hidden dasam duaar, the Tenth Gate, which no force opens, only the Shabad. Through it sounds the anhad naad, the unstruck melody, music with no player, and at the heart's core the divine light shines. Every item the Naths reached for through breath-control and posture is re-derived here through the Word and loving devotion.

A Question to Sit With

Have you noticed a kind of quiet that opens only when you stop pushing?
