Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Meditate on the One in your mind, and take shelter with the One alone.
Love the One alone; there is no other place to go.
Ask from the One Giver, and everything comes into your hands.
In mind and body, with every breath and every bite, meditate on the one and only Lord.
The Gurmukh finds the true treasure, the sweet nectar of the Naam.
Very fortunate are those humble saints in whose minds the One has come to live.
The One fills the water, the land and the sky; there is no other at all.
Nanak says: I meditate on the Naam and speak the Naam, living in my Master's will.
Everything turns on the One (ikas, iko). Remembrance is woven into the most ordinary rhythms — each breath (saas), each morsel of food (giraas). The One is present in water, land, and sky, with no other at all: immanence again. To abide in the Will (bhaana) while remembering is the whole of it.
Could you remember one good thing with every breath for a whole minute? Try it.
