He begs for the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, and will never be defeated.

so dhaadhee gunvant jis no parabh pi-aar. ||11||
Praiseworthy is that musician who loves God. ||11||

In plain words

I give myself to the musician who is Your servant.

I give myself to the musician who sings the praises of the Infinite One.

Blessed, blessed is that musician whom the Formless One longs for.

Very fortunate is that musician who comes to the gate of the True One's court.

That musician meditates on You and praises You day and night.

He asks for the sweet nectar of the Naam, and is never defeated.

His clothes and his food are true, and he keeps love for the One inside.

Worthy of praise is the musician who loves the One.

The Formless One longs for the one who sings with love.
The deeper layer

The dhaadhee, the bard who sings praise, is honored — music as devotion. The astonishing line is that the Formless One itself longs for such a singer: love flowing both ways. When love soaks a life, even clothing and food become true (sach) — Truth as the very material of daily living.

A Question to Sit With

What do you love doing so much that you lose track of time?
