This world is a garden of Ambrosial Nectar. The Perfect Lord created it. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

There is one tree with countless branches and twigs, and its flowers and leaves are full of sweet juice.

This world is a garden of nectar. The Perfect One made it.

All the countless different things in the world grow from one same source.
The deeper layer

One tree with countless branches is a picture of Ik Onkar: one source, endless forms. The world here is a 'garden of nectar' (amrit kee baarhee), grown by the Perfect One, not a trap. It is a warm, world-affirming vision.

A Question to Sit With

When you look at how many different living things there are, what do you think connects them?
