How rare is that Gurmukh who knows, and whose inner being is illumined by the Lord's Light. ||1||Pause||

I have come to know, I have come to know the story of the One, my King.
Rare is the Gurmukh, the one turned toward the Guru, who knows it, and whose heart is lit by the One's light.
Some things you do not just hear about; you come to know them from the inside.
The 'story of the Sovereign' (raajaa raam kee kahaanee) is the knowing of the One. A Gurmukh — someone turned toward the teaching — is rare, and in that person an inner light is lit (antar jot pargaasaa). This is knowing from the inside, not just hearing about it.
A Question to Sit With
What is something you did not just learn, but came to understand deep down?
