The Load That Lifts

jih simran naahee nankaar.
Remembering Him in meditation, you will meet with no obstruction.
mukat karai utrai baho bhaar.
You will be liberated, and the great load will be taken away.
namaskaar kar hirdai maahi.
Bow in humility within your heart,
fir fir tayraa aavan naahi. ||2||
and you will not have to be reincarnated over and over again. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When you hold the One in mind, nothing blocks your way.

You are set free, and the great load is lifted off.

Bow low inside your heart,

and you will not have to be born again and again.

Gratitude and remembering can lift a weight you did not know you were carrying.
The deeper layer

Remembrance clears the road (no obstruction) and lifts the load (baho bhaar utrai) — the weight of worry and ego. 'Bow within your heart' is inner humility. And the endless circling back is gently set aside.

A Question to Sit With

What is a heavy load you would love to set down?
