At the center of it all a lotus opens, ringed with jewels of light.
Within it lives the spotless One, the Master of all the worlds; five pure sounds ring out, and it is as splendid as a royal court, with soft fans waving and conch-shells sounding like thunder.
With the Guru's wisdom, the Gurmukh crushes the inner demons underfoot.
Baynee says: I long for Your Naam, One.
Inside shines a court full of splendor, and the one wish at the end is simple: the Naam.
A lotus opens at the forehead, ringed with jewels. Inside it lives the niranjan One, the spotless Master of the three worlds. The panch sabad, five pure sounds, ring out. Fans called chavar wave, as in a royal court, and conch shells sound like thunder.
Then the verse says the gurmukh tramples the demons with wisdom. These demons are the troubles inside us, like anger, greed and fear. Clear, calm wisdom quietly overcomes them.
After all that splendor, the ending is simple. Baynee jaachai tayraa naam — Baynee asks for Your Name. It is like a child at a busy fair who just wants to hold a parent's hand.
What do you long for most, deep down?
