Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
O One, my mind longs to meet Your humble servants.
Your sweet essence is a nectar that gives life without end. Meeting the saints, I drink it in.
The sweetness of the One is meant to be tasted together.
The sweetness of the One is tasted together. Amiou (or amrit) is the deathless nectar; har ras is the taste, the essence, of the One; meethaa is simply sweet. And it is shared: meeting the saints, it reaches the mouth (mil sant janaa mukh paavai). The longing itself (man bhaavai) is the doorway in.
A Question to Sit With
What good thing tastes even better when you share it?
