ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਵਹੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਆਤਮੁ ਚੀਨਹੁ ਭਾਈ ॥
bharam chukaavahu gurmukh liv laavhu aatam cheenahu bhaa-ee.
Eradicate doubt, and as Gurmukh, enshrine love for the Lord; understand your own soul, O Siblings of Destiny.

Know that God is near at hand, and ever-present. How could you try to hurt anyone else? ||3||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Let go of doubt. Turning to the Guru, fill yourself with love for the One, and come to know your own soul, my brothers and sisters.
Know that God is near, always right here. How could you hurt anyone?
If the One lives in everyone, kindness is the only thing that makes sense.
Nikat kar jaanhu sadaa prabh haajar — know the One as near and ever-present. This is nearness turned into ethics: kis si-o karahu buraa-ee — if the One lives in all, cruelty makes no sense. Aatam cheenhu — know your own soul.
A Question to Sit With
Does it change how you treat someone if you remember the same One lives in them?
