Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
That one alone has done the praying, the hard practice and the quiet meditation.
That one alone has given to others in many kinds of ways.
In this hard age, that devoted one is the one who is accepted:
the one the Master has blessed with honor.
Honor is a gift the Master places in you, not a prize won for show.
Jap tap dhi-aan and daan (devotion, discipline, charity) are said to belong to the blessed one — not as achievements they boast, but as fruits of the honor (maan) the One first placed in them. Parvaan — accepted, approved — is measured from the inside out.
A Question to Sit With
What kind of goodness matters even when nobody claps for it?
