Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One who saves is full of mercy.

Think of the One for a single moment, and millions of lifetimes of wandering are wiped away.

Every living being worships the One.

Receiving the Guru's word, you meet the One.

Even a single moment of remembering can lighten a heavy load.
The deeper layer

Raakhanhaar da-i-aal — the merciful Protector. Kot bhav khanday nimakh khi-aal: a moment’s (nimakh) thought dissolves kot bhav, countless rounds of trouble. Gur mil mant: it is through the Guru’s word (mant) that the meeting happens — teaching as the bridge.

A Question to Sit With

What is something that lifts your mood in just a moment?
