In plain words

Everything that was ever made places its hope in You.

All of it worships You, treasure of everything good.

Nanak says: I, Your servant, give my whole self to You.

My kind One, my Master, is without any end.

Every living thing is quietly hoping toward the same One.
The deeper layer

Jo upaa-i-o tis tayree aas — all creation hopes in the One. Guntaas: the treasure-house of virtues. The closing bay-ant saahib mayraa miharvaan rounds the humble shabad with warmth: the endless One is, above all, kind.

A Question to Sit With

What is a hope you share with almost everyone you know?
