Chant the Name of the Lord, which will be your help and support. As Gurmukh, you shall obtain the true wealth. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Come rest in the shelter of the One's lotus feet, O my mind.

Repeat the Name — it will walk beside you as your help and support.

Facing the Guru, you gather the true wealth.

The one wealth worth gathering is the one that never runs out.
The deeper layer

Whoever faces the Guru (gurmukh) gathers the true wealth: gurmukh paavahi saach dhanaa. Unlike money, this wealth cannot be lost, spent, or left behind. It is the one thing that travels with you.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad.

A Question to Sit With

What is something valuable that no one could ever take away from you?
