Such is the perfect Guru, my help and my steady support.
Not one moment spent remembering the Guru is ever wasted.
Time spent remembering what matters is never wasted.
Remembering never goes to waste. Whatever else may or may not come of a day, this one thing always counts.
This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line at the centre of the shabad: jaa kaa simran birthaa na jaa-ee. Gurdev is the Guru, honoured as divine, and the help (sahaa-ee) who stands beside you.
A Question to Sit With
What is something you do that always feels worth the time, even on a hard day?
