He comes when the Lord sends him; when the Lord calls him back, he goes.

jo kichh karnaa so kar rahi-aa bakhsanhaarai bakhas la-i-aa. ||10||
Whatever he does, the Lord is doing. The Forgiving Lord forgives him. ||10||

In plain words

A person comes into the world when the One sends them, and leaves when the One calls them back.

Whatever is done, the One is doing it. And the Forgiving One forgives.

Your coming and going are held inside a larger kindness.
The deeper layer

We come when the One sends us and go when the One calls us back, and the One forgives.

Tineh pathaa-ay... tinai bulaa-ay la-i-aa — sent by the One, called back by the One. Coming into the world and leaving it are both in the One's hands, like a child sent out to play and called home for dinner. Jo kichh karnaa so kar rahi-aa — whatever is done, the One is doing it. Bakhsanhaarai bakhas la-i-aa — the Forgiving One forgives. After all the warnings, this is a tender note: kindness holds the whole story.

A Question to Sit With

What is it like to trust that something larger is holding your story?
