jin kee-ay khand mandal barahmandaa so parabh lakhan na jaa-ee. ||6||
He who created the worlds, solar systems and galaxies - that God cannot be known. ||6||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The One who made the worlds, the solar systems, and the galaxies
cannot be known by any mind.
You can feel close to something far too vast to ever fully understand.
The Maker of every world and galaxy is too vast for any mind to grasp.
Khand mandal barahmandaa — worlds, solar systems, galaxies: a huge picture of the universe, sung long before telescopes. Lakhan na jaa-ee — that One cannot be fully known. The One is in everything, and still bigger than anything we can picture, like a sky you can stand under but never wrap your arms around.
A Question to Sit With
Can something be both close to you and bigger than you can imagine?
