ਨਦਰੀ ਆਵਦਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ॥
nadree aavdaa sabh kichh binsai har saytee chit laa-ay.
Everything that comes into view shall be destroyed; focus your consciousness on the Lord.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਲਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਾਵਨੀ ਲਾਗੈ ਤਾ ਇਹ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੭॥
satgur naal tayree bhaavnee laagai taa ih sojhee paa-ay. ||7||
Enshrine love for the True Guru, and then you shall obtain this understanding. ||7||

Everything you can see will one day pass away. So rest your heart on the One.
Let love for the True Guru take root in you, and then this understanding comes.
Rest your heart on what lasts, not on what fades.
Nadree aavdaa sabh kichh binsai — all that appears will pass. Rather than dwelling in fear of endings, turn your gaze toward what endures. Bhaavnee (loving devotion) for the True Guru is what lets sojhee (insight) arrive.
