The Yogi Who Understands the Flow

hukam bujhai so jogee kahee-ai aykas si-o chit laa-ay.
One who understands the Hukam of the Lord's Command is called a Yogi; he links his consciousness to the One Lord.
sahsaa tootai nirmal hovai jog jugat iv paa-ay. ||6||
His cynicism is dispelled, and he becomes immaculately pure; this is how he finds the Way of Yoga. ||6||

In plain words

Call that person a yogi who understands the Hukam, the flow of life, and keeps the heart on the One.

Their cynical doubt breaks apart, and they become clean and clear inside. This is how they find the way of yoga.

Understanding how life flows is the beginning of peace.
The deeper layer

Hukam is the flow of existence, the way things work, like water running downhill. To understand it and fix one's chit (consciousness) on the One dissolves sahsaa (cynicism, corrosive doubt) and makes a person nirmal (pure). This is jog jugat, the way of union.

A Question to Sit With

What is one way life “flows” that you've learned to stop fighting?
