Make the Fear of God, and the Love of God, the two gourds of your lute, Yogi, and make this body its neck.

Become Gurmukh, and then vibrate the strings; in this way, your desires shall depart. ||5||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Yogi, make awe and love the two round gourds of your lute, and make this body its neck.

Turn toward the Guru, and then the strings will sound. This is how the thirst for more goes away.

Awe and love together make the heart sing.
The deeper layer

Bha-o here is reverent awe, and bhaa-o is love — together the two tumbe (gourds) of the lute, with the body as its neck. Becoming gurmukh (turned toward the teaching) is what makes the strings sound, and trisnaa (the craving-thirst that is never satisfied) breaks apart.

A Question to Sit With

Can you feel awe and love at the same time? When?
