ਬਾਣੀ ਲਾਗੈ ਸੋ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਏ ਸਬਦੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੨੧॥
banee laagai so gat paa-ay sabday sach samaa-ee. ||21||
One who is committed to this Bani is emancipated, and through the Shabad, merges in Truth. ||21||

Whoever holds on to this Bani, these sacred words, is set free.
Through the Word, they merge into Truth.
Let the true words hold you, and they set you free.
Banee laagai so gat paa-ay — one who becomes attached to this Word finds gat, release, and through the shabad merges sach, in Truth. To be “held” by the Bani is itself the liberation.
