The One No Eye Can Catch

ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪੁ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਏ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਲਖਣਾ ਜਾਈ ॥੬॥
aapnaa aap aap upaa-ay alakh na lakh-naa jaa-ee. ||6||
The Lord Himself creates Himself; the Unseen Lord cannot be seen. ||6||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One brought its own self into being — no one made the One.

And the Unseen One cannot be caught by the eyes.

The most real thing cannot be caught by the eyes.
The deeper layer

Aapnaa aap aap upaa-ay — self-existent; alakh — beyond being grasped or perceived. The formless Oneness that has no maker and no visible shape.

A Question to Sit With

What real things can you feel but not see?
