Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Mother, the tight knot of the fear of dying has been cut away.

Chanting the One's Name, Har, Har, I have found every kind of peace. Right in the middle of my home and family, I stay light and free.

You can be free right in the middle of an ordinary, busy life.
The deeper layer

The jam kee faas — the tight knot of fear about death — is untied, and a deep peace comes, held right inside ordinary household life (garsat udaas). Freedom is lightness in the middle of things.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel calm even when life around you is busy?
