I long for the sublime essence of the Lord, calling, "Pri-o! Pri-o! - Beloved! Beloved!", like the Bumble bee longing for the lotus flower. ||1||

All kinds of delicious treats are set in front of me, but I do not even glance at them.
I only long for the sweetness of the One, calling out Beloved, Beloved — like a bumblebee drawn to a lotus flower.
When the heart tastes the One's sweetness, lesser treats lose their pull.
Every bhojan and binjan, all the delicacies, are laid out — and the heart will not even look. It wants only har ras, the sweetness of the One, calling pri-a pri-a, Beloved, Beloved. The image is the bee and the lotus (al kamlaa): when the heart has tasted the One's sweetness, lesser treats lose their pull.
A Question to Sit With
What is something you love so much that other tempting things stop mattering?
