Our Lord and Master is permeating and pervading each and every heart; He is supremely Potent to exercise His Might.

Nanak, the slave of His slaves, says, please, be merciful and save me! ||5||3||

In plain words

The One lives inside every single heart, holding all the power there is, gentle and complete.

Nanak, the servant of Your servants, says: be kind, and lift me up and keep me close.

The One who holds all power lives inside every heart, including yours.
The deeper layer

The One lives in every heart, and a humble heart asks to be lifted up.

Sarbay ghat ghat ravi-aa su-aamee — the Master fills each and every heart. Sarab kalaa kal dhaaray — and holds all power there is.

Naanak daasan daas kahat hai — Nanak, the servant of servants, asks: kar kirpaa layho ubaaray, be kind and lift me up. Think of a small child at the edge of a crowd, arms raised to a parent. The asking is plain, and the lifting comes.

A Question to Sit With

How might you treat people differently if the One lived in each of them?
