In plain words

Good people planted the One's Name deep in me, and my Best Friend came near to my heart.

I set my mind before the One as a gift, and He gave me everything in return.

Made His own, my sadness lifted, and I found a steady place inside the temple of the heart; my joy is in keeping the One in mind, never to be apart again. Whoever holds the Name close is truly fortunate, soaked through with the sweetness of love.

Offer the One your heart, and you find a steady home inside that never leaves.
The deeper layer

This verse says that when you give your heart to the One, you get everything back.

Aapnarhaa man aagai dhari-aa: I set my own mind in front of the One, as a gift. Sarbas thaakur deenay: and the Master gave me sarbas, everything. Think of giving a friend half your lunch and finding they packed you a whole dessert.

Har mandar thit paa-ee: I found thit, a steady place, in the One's temple. That temple is also the heart.

Praym mahaa ras bheenay: soaked in the great sweetness of love. Love here is not a little sprinkle. It is like getting caught in warm summer rain and being wet right through.

A Question to Sit With

What makes a place — or a person — feel like steady home to you?
