In plain words

The One set up the whole stage — the skies above, the depths below — and made the earth a home where living rightly matters.

By the flow of existence the ground was laid, and everything that rises will one day settle again. And through it all, every creature is fed. No one is forgotten at the table.

This flow is wonderful beyond figuring out. The same One is woven through everything and is also the one who cares for it all.

The One who set up the whole world also feeds every single life within it.
The deeper layer

hukam = the flow of existence. dharam saalaa = the earth as a true home or school for living rightly. rijak sambaahidaa = provides sustenance to all — the carefree Provider theme. aapay ... aapay = He Himself ... He Himself: the aapay litany that runs through every Pauree of this Vaar — the One is both maker and sustainer, with no second.

A Question to Sit With

What are all the things that had to just work today for you to eat a meal?
