Verse 60 of 67

Every Wish Fulfilled Right at Home

pa-orhee.
Pauree:
aapay bakhsay da-i-aa kar gur satgur bachnee.
The Merciful Lord Himself forgives those who dwell upon the Word of the Guru, the True Guru.
an-din sayvee gun ravaa man sachai rachnee.
Night and day, I serve the True Lord, and chant His Glorious Praises; my mind merges into Him.
parabh mayraa bay-ant hai ant kinai na lakhnee.
My God is infinite; no one knows His limit.
satgur charnee lagi-aa har naam nit japnee.
Grasping hold of the feet of the True Guru, meditate continually on the Lord's Name.
jo ichhai so fal paa-isee sabh gharai vich jachnee. ||18||
Thus you shall obtain the fruits of your desires, and all wishes shall be fulfilled within your home. ||18||

In plain words

Grace comes freely through the teaching — mercy first, always. Day and night the heart can serve and sing until it melts into what is real.

The One is endless; no one can measure it. But staying close to the teaching and holding the Name, you find that what you were reaching for was right here all along. The fruit you longed for was waiting inside your own home.

What you're reaching for is waiting right inside your own heart.
The deeper layer

aapay bakhsay da-i-aa kar = the One forgives by mercy — grace ever-first. jo ichhai so fal paa-isee, sabh gharai vich = the fruit of every longing is found within one's own home or heart — you do not have to go anywhere. bay-ant = infinite, immeasurable.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you keep looking for out there that might already be within you?
