O Nanak, praise the One who gives Support to all. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Before even the earliest sign of spring, the One is already there, blossoming. That is worth pausing over and really taking in.

So praise the One — the One who quietly holds up and supports every single living thing, all the time.

The One quietly supports every living thing — that's worth praising.
The deeper layer

A Second Mehl shalok, companion to the previous one: karahu beechaar = reflect on the One who blossoms first. je sabhsai day aadhaar = who gives support (aadhaar) to all, the sustaining ground of everything.

A Question to Sit With

What holds you up that you rarely stop to thank?
