In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

You were given something amazing the day you were born — a whole life, wide open, yours to fill.

So here is a gentle question worth asking yourself: with all these days, have you made room for the One who gave them? There is no better time to begin than right now.

A whole life is a gift; the best thing to fill it with is love, starting now.
The deeper layer

avtar aa-ay kahaa tum keenaa — having come into life, what have you done? raam ko naam — holding the One in mind. Kabir opens not with blame but with a wake-up nudge: a life is a treasure, and the sweetest thing to fill it with is loving remembrance. This verse is Pauri0; in Kabir's shabads the rahaao (the Pause, the keynote) often comes second, in the next pauri.

A Question to Sit With

What is one small way you could make room today for something that matters most to you?
