Your Love Will Not Die

tab lag paraanee tisai sarayvhu jab lag ghat meh saasaa.
O mortal, serve the Lord, as long as the breath of life remains in the body.
And even when your body dies, your love for the Lord shall not die; you shall dwell at the Feet of the Lord. ||2||

In plain words

While there is breath in your body, serve the One.

And even when the body is gone, your love for the One will not be gone. You will live close to the One, resting at the One's feet.

Everything fades but love for the One — that love carries you gently home.
The deeper layer

This one gives a deep comfort: love for the One does not end when the body does.

Tab lag praanee tisai sarayvhu jab lag ghat meh saasaa means "serve the One as long as there is breath in the body." While we are alive, we tend that love, like watering a plant each day.

Jay ghat jaa-ay ta bhaa-o na jaasee means "even when the body goes, bhaa-o, love, does not go." Har kay charan nivaasaa means one comes to live at the One's feet, close and safe.

Everything else fades, but this love stays. It is the part of us that lasts beyond the body.

A Question to Sit With

What is a love in your life that you feel would never really disappear?
