The Ones Who Never Lose

ਜੋ ਜਨ ਜਾਨਿ ਭਜਹਿ ਅਬਿਗਤ ਕਉ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਨਾਸਾ ॥

Those humble beings, who know the Imperishable Lord and meditate on Him, are not destroyed at all.

Says Kabir, those humble beings who know how to throw these dice, never lose the game of life. ||4||4||

In plain words

Those who know the never-changing One and keep Him in their hearts lose nothing at all.

Kabir says: those who know how to throw the dice never lose the game of life.

A heart rooted in the changeless One plays life's game without fear of losing.
The deeper layer

This one ends the shabad with a promise: those rooted in the One never lose.

Jo jan jaan bhajeh abigat ka-o means those who know and remember the abigat, the One who never changes and never ends. Tin kaa kachhoo na naasaa means nothing of theirs is ever lost.

Kaho kabeer tay jan kabahu na haareh means "Kabir says, these people never lose." They are the ones who know how to throw the dice, dhaal jo jaaneh paasaa. The game picture from the pauri before comes back.

Think of a tree with deep roots in a storm. The wind blows hard, but the tree stays. A heart rooted in the One plays life's game without fear of losing.

A Question to Sit With

What is something steady inside you that hard days can't take away?
