Raag Soohee, Shabad 73 - Reunited After a Long Way Apart

Millions of sinners have been saved in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; the Messenger of Death does not even approach them.
janam janam kaa bichhurhi-aa hovai tinH har si-o aan milaavai. ||2||
Those who have been separated from the Lord, for countless incarnations, are reunited with the Lord again. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Even people who went far astray, again and again, find their way back in good company - and nothing frightening can touch them there.

Someone who has felt cut off from the One for the longest time is brought home again, gently reunited.

However far you have drifted, you can be brought home again.
The deeper layer

kot apraaDhee - countless who have strayed; the emphasis is the breadth of the welcome, that no one is beyond reach. janam janam kaa bichhurhi-aa - separated across lifetimes, then re-joined. This is the Reuniter theme, the One who brings the long-separated home.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever felt far from someone and then been welcomed back?
