bahut janam bharmat tai haari-o asthir mat nahee paa-ee.
You have wandered through many many births; you are exhausted but have still not found a way out of this endless cycle.
maanas dayh paa-ay pad har bhaj naanak baat bataa-ee. ||3||3||
Now that you have obtained this human body, meditate on the Lord's Feet; Nanak advises with this advice. ||3||3||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
After so much searching and wandering, it's natural to feel tired.
But now, alive and here, you can rest that weary search by simply turning toward the One.
The weary search can rest the moment you turn inward.
bahut janam bharmat tai haario — wandering through many births, grown weary; maanas dayh paa-ay pad har bhaj — having gained the human body, remember the One. Rest for the tired seeker.
