In plain words

Listen, sister, to the wonders this builder has done: He calmed the roaring oceans, and set young Dhruv in the sky as the unmoving pole star.

The One Namdev loves brought Sita safely home again, and gave the kingdom of Lanka to Vibhishan. This is my carpenter, the maker of every marvel.

The same One who steadies the stars steadies your life too.
The deeper layer

Namdev ends by telling his neighbor about the great things his Builder has done.

Baydhee kay gun sun ree baa-ee — listen, sister, to the good deeds of this carpenter. Then he weaves in stories that people all over India love to tell.

The carpenter stopped the oceans. The carpenter set Dhroo in the sky as the pole star. Dhroo was a young boy who loved the One so steadily that he became the star that never moves. Sailors use it to find their way.

Then two stories from the Ramayana, the great story of Ram. The One brought Sita safely home. The One gave the kingdom of Lanka to Bhabheekhan, the brother who chose to stand for what was right.

Namdev holds these shared stories with warmth. For him they are all pictures of the same One who built his life. It is a Builder who steadies and who brings people home.

A Question to Sit With

When have you felt something bigger than you gently setting things right?
