Saadhsang ja-o tumeh milaa-i-o — when You brought me into the saadhsang, the company of good and holy people. Ta-o sunee tumaaree banee — then I heard Your banee, Your Word.
Think of a song you heard many times on the radio. Then one day you hear it sung by a whole crowd at a concert, everyone singing together. Suddenly you really hear it. Some things only land when you are among people who are living them.
Anad bha-i-aa paykhat hee — joy came the moment I saw. And what did Nanak see? Purakh nirbaanee, the One who is at rest, free from all fear and wanting. That deep peace is what we are drawn toward.
