I have become stable and steady, touching the Lord's Feet, and singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Teacher grew kind to me, and everything my heart was reaching for came true.

Now I stand steady, resting at the One’s feet and singing His goodness.

Rest at the center, and you stop being blown around.
The deeper layer

Asthir bha-ay — become stable, unshaken. Sagal manorath — all the heart’s wishes. Steadiness comes not from getting everything, but from touching the feet — the solid ground beneath the wishes.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel steady instead of restless?
