If it is pleasing to Your Will, then I worship and serve You; You are the treasure of virtue. ||21||

You are my Master, my Lord and King, my Ruler.
If it pleases You, then I serve You; You are the treasure of all goodness.
Even your service is best held under a greater Will — offered as 'if it pleases You,' not claimed as your own doing.
Near the close, Ram Das turns directly to the One in surrender: "You are my Ruler and King... if it is pleasing to Your Will, then I serve You." Even his service is placed under the One's pleasure, not claimed as his own initiative. The One is "the treasure of virtue" — the source of every goodness. All the reverence for the teaching and the fellowship finally flows up to the One who is behind them all.
A Question to Sit With
Can you hold your good efforts loosely, as offered rather than owned?
