I am forever a sacrifice to the True Guru; I am absorbed in the Words of the Guru's Teachings. ||20||

Those who face the teaching and worship the One are wealthy and truly wise.
Forever a sacrifice to the true teaching; I am absorbed in its words.
The truly wealthy and wise are those soaked in what is true — absorbed in it until it becomes their very element.
The verse crowns the devoted "wealthy and very wise" — rich with the inner treasure, wise with the understanding the teaching gives. And Ram Das names his own state: "absorbed in the Words of the Guru's Teachings." To be absorbed is more than to study; it is to be soaked in, dissolved into, the teaching until it becomes one's element. The truly wealthy are those saturated in what is true.
A Question to Sit With
What are you 'absorbed in'? Is it something you'd want to be dissolved into?
