In plain words

So praise the true One, the Master over everything.

No one is its equal — and what am I, that I could be? Air, water, earth and sky — the One made these its home and temple, and pervades them all. Tell me: what here could be called false?

If the One has made air, water, earth and sky its own temple and lives in them, then nothing in the world is finally worthless.
The deeper layer

The Pause verse holds a beautiful reversal of the give-everything-up view. Rather than calling the world "false" (maya) and fleeing it, Ram Das asks: since the One has made "air, water, earth and sky" its own "home and temple" and "pervades" them, "what can be counted as false?" If the whole world is the dwelling-place of the One, then nothing in it is finally worthless. Creation is sacred because the Creator lives in it. The temple is not a building; it is the elements, the earth, the sky.

A Question to Sit With

What would change if you saw the ordinary world — air, water, earth, sky — as a temple the One lives in?
