In plain words

My heart aches with longing for the One's love — a real, felt love, not just something I say.

Because love doesn't arrive through words alone. I searched every street for a glimpse, and when I met the teacher, all my doubts finally cleared.

Love doesn't arrive through words alone — and what usually blocks it is doubt, which presence quietly undoes.
The deeper layer

This tender shabad draws a line between talking about love and having it: "By mere words, the Lord's Love does not come." Real love is not produced by declaring it; it's given, and it's searched for with the whole self ("looking in each and every street"). The turning point is meeting the Guru — and what dissolves isn't ignorance but doubt (bharam), the restless uncertainty that keeps love from landing. Sometimes what stands between us and love isn't a lack of information but a knot of doubt that only presence can undo.

A Question to Sit With

What's the difference between saying you love something and actually feeling it? Can words alone create the feeling?
