Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The endless coming and going settles, and my doubts quietly clear.
When the me-first feeling loosens its grip, I meet the True One and put on a robe woven of what is real.
The teacher lifts the heaviness off me, and old sorrow lifts too. My little light slips into the great Light, and I finally understand who I really am.
Here and now I am at peace with the Word, and I trust I am held in that love forever. I no longer live anxious about what everyone thinks of me — I belong to the One.
The “robe of Truth” is a life woven of what is real. The soul-bride’s “parents’ home / in-laws’ home” (this world / the world beyond) is de-gendered to here-and-now and forever. “Dependence on people ended” becomes freedom from anxiety about others’ opinions.
What would change if you worried less about what everyone thinks of you?
