Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Your body-horse is dyed fresh and bright with the color of love.
I ask wisdom to teach me what's good, and I come to know its real worth.
That makes a whole life fruitful — full of the good you keep in mind.
A life filled with the fresh, never-fading color of love is a fruitful, happy one.
The second Ghoree continues: "the body is the Lord's horse; the Lord imbues it with the fresh and new color" — the ever-fresh color of love (a favorite Guru Ram Das note: the Lord's color never fades). Asking the Guru for wisdom "has made my life totally fruitful." For a child: a life filled with the fresh color of love is a fruitful, happy one.
A Question to Sit With
What's a kind of 'color' you'd like your life to be full of?
