Raag Wadahans
The Commentary
Pauri 0 sets the suhaagan (happy bride) beside the duhaagan (the one who feels rejected) — and instantly opens the door: "if she were to become virtuous, she too could enjoy her Beloved." Pauri 1 (the rahao) gives the joyful refrain: the One is rangeela, "loving and playful" — why chase anything less? Pauri 2 gives the method: string good deeds like beads until you hold "the jewel no price can buy." Pauri 3 is honest self-awareness — we ask for the way, don't walk it, yet claim to have arrived; real closeness needs real conversation. Pauri 4 closes on bedrock: "without the One, there is no other," and staying attached is where the joy is.
