In plain words

My tongue is naturally drawn to the taste of what's good and true.

My mind feels full and satisfied when I keep the beautiful Name close.

When your heart finds what truly fills it, you're naturally drawn to the good — no forcing needed.
The deeper layer

When your heart finds what truly fills it, you are drawn to the good without forcing it.

This shabad (a hymn) walks through the senses, one by one. Each one finds its rest in the One. It starts with the tongue. Rasnaa har saad lagee: my tongue has come to love the taste of the One. Sahj subhaa-ay: naturally, all on its own.

That word sahj is the key. It means easy, natural, not pushed. Think of your favorite food. Nobody has to make you eat it. You just reach for it.

Man tripti-aa: my mind feels full and satisfied, keeping the Name close. The Name is the living presence of the One. When your heart is full of something good, you do not have to force yourself toward it. You are simply drawn.

A Question to Sit With

What good thing are you naturally drawn to, without anyone making you?
