Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

In good company, drink in the sweetness of the One.

Something in you — your truest self — never dies and never wastes away.

In good company you taste something sweet — and touch the part of you that stays bright and never fades.
The deeper layer

"In the Saadh Sangat, drink the Ambrosial Nectar... the soul does not die, nor waste away." The company of the good is where the sweetness is tasted, and there one touches the deathless part of oneself — the true self that doesn't fade. For a child, handled gently: there's a part of you, your truest goodness, that stays bright and doesn't waste away.

A Question to Sit With

What part of you feels most truly, lastingly 'you'?
