ਪਉੜੀ ॥

Pauree:
ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ॥
too kartaa sabh kichh jaandaa sabh jee-a tumaaray.
You, O Creator, know all things; all beings belong to You.
ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਤੂ ਮੇਲਿ ਲੈਹਿ ਕਿਆ ਜੰਤ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ॥
jis too bhaavai tis too mayl laihi ki-aa jant vichaaray.
Those who are pleasing to You, You unite with Yourself; what can the poor creatures do?
ਤੂ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਹੈ ਸਚੁ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੇ ॥
too karan kaaran samrath hai sach sirjanhaaray.
You are all-powerful, the Cause of causes, the True Creator Lord.
ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਸੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
jis too mayleh pi-aari-aa so tuDh milai gurmukh veechaaray.
Only those unite with you, Beloved Lord, whom you approve and who meditate on Guru's Word.
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਰੇ ॥੮॥
ha-o balihaaree satgur aapnay jin mayraa har alakh lakhaaray. ||8||
I am a sacrifice to my True Guru, who has allowed me to see my unseen Lord. ||8||

You know everything, and every creature belongs to You.
You draw close whoever turns toward You — small as we are.
I'm grateful to the wisdom that let me see the good I couldn't see before.
Wisdom helps you finally see the good that was there all along but hidden.
The Pauree: "You know all things; all beings belong to You... those pleasing to You, You unite with Yourself." And gratitude "to my True Guru, who has allowed me to see my unseen Lord" — wisdom lets us finally see the good that was always there but hidden.
